Corn coming out of your ears?!

Do you love corn and want to be able to keep that tasty goodness for the winter? Here is one idea!

.

Freeze it!

You can easily freeze corn either off the cob or on! Make sure you remove it from the husk and blanch between 7-11 minutes depending on the size of the ear. Once cooled either wrap in freezer paper or put multiple ears in freezer bags. You can also do just the kernels blanching for 4 minutes cooling and then freezing.

Freezing Tip

If you are going to freeze your corn as kernel corn, place it on a cookie sheet and then once frozen place in freezer bags. That way you won't end up with a big block of frozen corn but instead a individual kernels!

"The first ear of corn, eaten like a typewriter, means summer to me-intense, but fleeting."- Michael Anthony
